With much gratitude in our hearts, we’d like to share the highlights of 2020

Toon Club collaborated with ‘Children’s Art Centre, Poznan’ to conduct the FIRST EVER cross‐country, cross‐continental online animation workshop to bring children from India and Poland to work together on Animation Films.

One of the two films produced during this workshop won a Special Jury Recognition at OQROS PEPELA, International Children’s Film Festival, Tbilisi, Georgia 2020

Toon Club was a knowledge partner at CINEVIDYA’s Pixel Play: An online animation program for children that had Industry stalwarts like Suresh Eriyat, Munjal Shroff, Ranjit Singh etc conducting various interesting modules for children.

Toon Club partnered with IKFF (International Kids Film Festival). Eight Toon Club students were part of the Jury Team at IKFF along with Child Jurors from Annecy, BIKY (Busan Int’l Kids and Youth Film Festival), Seattle Children’s Film Festival, Giffoni & Providence Children’s Film Festival. Toon Club also conducted an Introductory Animation program “Animation Made Easy” during the festival. Best of Toon Club films were featured on a dedicated swimlane on the KRAYON App during the month long IKFF festival.

TWO Toon Club Films: ‘Animal Abuse’ & ‘Out of The Frame’ included in Educational Programs:

Animal Abuse is now included in the Educational Program of Chania Film Festival (CFF), Greece: CFF Edu. ‘ANIMAL ABUSE’ is a cutout animation film created in the Gond Art style (folk art of Madhya Pradesh) by 7th Graders of Ecole Mondiale World School.
Out of the Frame is included in the Educational Program of Camera Zizanio, Greece. ‘Out of the Frame’ is a cutout animation film based on Child Rights created for the launch of the Children’s Museum at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sanghralaya.

Tehzeeb Khurana (Founder of Toon Club) was included in the International Jury of Educators at the prestigious 38th Ale Kino! International Young Audience Film Festival, Poland. This festival has a tradition and history of 57 years and attracts participants from over 39 countries across the world.

This year, as a FICCI BAF (Best animation film) award winner, Toon Club was offered a free Virtual Booth at FICCI Annual Expo which was inaugurated by the PM of India. Our booth was in the ‘EXCELLENCE AWARDS’ section.

Our film Pesky Proverbs aired on a local television channel EITB in Bilbao, Spain. This was done to promote Zinetxiki Zinemaldia Festival by showing one of the films officially selected in the international competition.

Toon Club films WIN 15 INTERNATIONAL AWARDS IN 12 MONTHS!

Toon Club films have won an unprecedented 15 awards in the past 12 months, more than twice the number of 6 awards won in 2019.
